What Causes Toothache?
Tooth discomfort or pain warns us we should see the dentist soon. Left untreated, severe pain or even deep, life-threatening infections may result.
Causes of toothache:
– Dental infections happen when bacteria get inside nerves and roots, due to decay or trauma.
– Over-brushing eventually erodes the enamel of the teeth, provoking sensitivity or toothache.
– Also known as bruxism, the habit of tooth grinding while sleeping can cause pain.
It is important not to diagnose at home; in case there is infection, a delay increases the chances that the tooth may need extracting.
