Flossing: Getting it Right
You can miss 40% of your mouth with a toothbrush. Remember to floss but never floss aggressively as it can cause damage to teeth and gums.
Key tips:
– Don’t pull the floss hard up against the gumline.
– Floss only once a day.
– Floss carefully and gently, applying light pressure.
Flossing should not cause gums to bleed if you have been flossing regularly. See your dentist if this continues.
“You only need to floss once per day for effective results, especially if you floss gently and correctly to remove plaque from in between your teeth.”
