A Look at Periodontal Surgery

If your dentist has scheduled periodontal surgery to address problems below your teeth, you are likely curious to know what might take place.

– The dentist will make a series of incisions along the gums in order to access the roots of your teeth.

– He or she will clean any exposed areas.

– The gums are then closed up with temporary stitches (these will be removed once the gums have healed).
