Affordable Ways To Improve Your Smile

Improve your smile

We understand that one of the biggest worries that can come with improving your smile, can be the cost associated with it. However, improving and maintaining a healthy smile doesn’t need to be bank breaking, and certainly doesn’t always require expensive dental treatment.

So here are a few cost-effective things you can do to improve and maintain a healthy and happy smile.

Maintain a good at-home routine

As dentists, we’ll always be here to encourage you to maintain a good oral health routine at home. When it comes to your teeth, this is ultimately the most important part of taking care of your teeth, and promotes the overall health of your teeth and gums.

Make sure you are brushing your teeth twice per day with a fluoride toothpaste, for roughly 2-3 minutes at a time. Brushing effectively, flossing between your teeth and using a mouthwash are all key to a good routine.

We should also mention here that reducing your intake of fizzy drinks and sugary snacks can also lead to an improvement in your oral health. Consuming too much sugar can have a negative effect on your teeth, leading to tooth decay, gum disease and potentially other dental health problems.

This doesn’t mean removing your favourite chocolate bar completely, but reducing overall sugar consumption can have a positive impact on your oral health.

Don’t avoid your check-ups

Keeping your regular check-up appointments in place is incredibly important in maintaining and improving your oral health. Attending a check-up twice per year can help to detect any problems you could have, meaning any symptoms or issues can be treated before they become any more serious. This in turn, saves money in the long run and improves your smile.

Visit your hygienist

Every single one of us will get a build up of plaque on our teeth over time. Therefore having your teeth cleaned by a hygienist can help to remove any of the plaque you can’t reach yourself at home, keeping your teeth and mouth clean and healthy.

A thorough clean & polish isn’t required frequently. Here at Robinsons Dental Practice this is an additional treatment option when visiting for a check up, available from £43.

Finance options

We’re pleased to offer finance options for patients who may require longer, more costly dental treatment. Our finance options are available interest-free over a 12 month period, making it easier for patients to pay for and receive more complex treatment.

For more information about our dental treatment options, book an appointment with us today and we’ll work together on the best option to improve your smile.
